Android is the most popular operating system today, many users appreciate its performance and UI. Many manufactures update their the latest Android OS weeks after its release, but it sometime takes longer. Vivo as a brand from China commits to offering up to three years of Android upgrades, especially for their flagship.
Some manufacturers only guaranteed two major Android releases, and give an extra year after that but only for security updates. Vivo will offer you updates for both OS and patches as well.
Chinese brands are also famous for dropping the ball on such updates, but Vivo is trying to change that opinion. It has just haughtily announcing that it is committing to offering three years of Android OS upgrades, but, as always, there’s a crucial catch to this obviously generous promise.
Vivo applies to its X series that will be launched in July 2021 onwards. On another side, OPPO does it. This manufacture promises to offer Android upgrades but only for a single model, that’s OPPO Find X3 series this year.
