Spotify launches a new feature that will help users to find information and tickets for live events in their location easily. This new feature is called Live Events Feed, and there are some ticketing partners that include Ticketmaster, AXS, DICE, Eventbrite, and See Tickets, among other companies. The new feature has collaborated between Spotify and Concert Hub. The Concert Hub helped users find at-home or studio performances, podcast recordings, and other online performances.
According to Sam Sheridan, Product Manager for Live Events Discovery, Spotify has been developing the latest music industry behavior since two years ago. The company wants users to search for concert listings or follow them on social media to stay on top of any upcoming tour dates.
When users can’t see Live Events Feed in their app, they can search for this feature in “live events” section. The app will show all the performances in your area, and clicking on any of them will lead you to an interface that includes a link where you can find and buy tickets. When users are listening to their favorite artists, the app will show events in-app while you’re listening. The app will offer a new messaging tool that will help you get notifications about upcoming concerts based on your listening habits. Users can set notification preferences, so you don’t have to get messages if you don’t want to.
