Infinix will launch the 180W Thunder Charge this week, and now we want to share the product information. Unlike the 160W Ultra-Fast Charge system we saw last year, this Thunder Charge comes to aim as the flagship phone.
The product’s goal is s to get a 4,500mAh battery to 50% charge in just four minutes, like the Infinix Note 12 VIP ability, with the Furious Mode, which charges at maximum speed, and Normal mode, which is still fast but keeps temperatures lower.
Infinix will limit to handle 90W of power, and the company will add several layers of protection also efficiency improvements to keep heat generation to a minimum.
Infinix worked with leading battery manufacturers to produce a multi-electrode lug design, which reduces the battery’s internal resistance by more than 50%. Those two battery technologies will use a 99% conversion efficiency. This system cuts down on the heat being generated, but they are not enough to ensure safe operation.
The Thunder Charge system has 111 software and hardware security mechanisms. The system can collect data from temperature, increased voltage, electromagnetic interference, and so on and will stop the charging process if anything goes awry.
The system can prevent overheating; there are 20 temperature sensors that monitor the USB port, charging chips, battery, and other key locations. This system helps the phone’s temperature below 43°C to reduce battery degradation.
The Thunder Charge has a special encryption chip to verify the cable’s authenticity. This charger can be used for other gadgets – however, the power is capped to 60W or 100W in those cases.
Thunder Charge has a TÜV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System certification, and this is the fastest charging system that will come in the second half of this year.
