WhatsApp will launch a feature that allows users to hide their online status. This information has announced by WABetaInfo on Saturday, with some sharing a screenshot of latest privacy settings that allow people to decide who can see them when they’re using the app.
Following a beta rollout in April, WhatsApp released an update that provides a “My Contacts Except” setting, the feature that can control who can see when you last checked the app. The Last Seen status provides for contacts to find out when they had contacts that turned off read receipts.
According to the WABetaInfo screenshot, the new online status feature can restrict some contacts who you don’t want to see your Last Seen status. The company has been developing this feature to support a basic privacy feature, but now that it’s finally on the way, many users appreciate this feature to be available soon.
