According to a Windows Central report, Microsoft is expected to release a three-year OS cycle, and it will happen in 2024. It’s unclear whether it will be Windows 12 or a version number of Windows 11.
Microsoft will increase the existing in-market Windows users. The Windows 11 22H2, which is codenamed Sun Valley 2, has a “Moments” feature that allows engineers to seed big features to existing users without the need for a major update.
The “Moments” system will provide the weather button on the taskbar in Windows 11. The company has reportedly developed this update which codenamed Sun Valley 3 for 2023
This new way of updating Windows would allow current users to get access to new features quicker, without the need to wait for the next major OS version, while at the same time allowing developers more time to test it for issues prior to release.
