Samsung is expected to launch the new flip smartphone series, the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Many users expect that Samsung will reduce the prices, but that may not happen.
The company will launch the Galaxy Z Flip 4 at a higher price than its predecessor. The price increase would be marginal at best, but it could take away a major psychological advantage that contributed to the Galaxy Z Flip 3’s success.
Some reports claim the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in Europe will cost 1080 euro for the 128GB storage variant. Meanwhile, the 256GB variant will cost 1,160 euro, whereas the new 512GB Galaxy Z Flip 4 will cost 1,280 euro.
As may you know, the 128GB Galaxy Z Flip 3 costs 1,049 euro, it means the successor will be more expensive by 31 euro. But, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 offers up to 512GB storage option, so it can’t be compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 wasn’t offered that much internal storage.
There’s unclear information if Samsung will apply the price to Europe only or if Samsung will make the new foldable more expensive elsewhere. Since August last year, Samsung successfully sold more than 10 million Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 units.
Notably, these are not the only upcoming Samsung devices expected to cost more than the models they’re replacing. An earlier leak revealed that the Galaxy Watch 5 prices would also be higher than the Galaxy Watch 4. That’s just the world we live in now.
