Nothing is now launching the new version 1.1.2 for the Nothing OS (1) for the Phone (1). The latest update brings some useful improvements to the phone.
The company will release the always-on display feature with a custom schedule by default, which means the device will be active at night. Users can still change the time, but it’s no longer the default behavior.
The other update is fingerprint icon appears when the display is switched off, and you move the phone slightly. The company claims the fingerprint sensor is a bit faster after the update.
There’s a charging improvement when users use 3rd party chargers. This update also fixed the Bluetooth codec issue, optimized minor UI details, general bug fixes and stability improvements.
Unfortunately, some of the other issues with the phone remain unresolved. The audio quality issues we brought up in our review are still present. The face unlocks extremely unreliable and shows no improvement. Still, the phone is otherwise quite stable and it’s good to see it get frequent updates.
