Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro Features 24-bit Hi-Fi Sound and ANC

Posted on August 11, 2022

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Buds2 TWS earphones last August, and now, the company is launching the Pro version at its Galaxy Unpacked event.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro TWS earphones are 15% smaller than the previous version for a more comfortable, prolonged wearing experience.

The earbuds have an aerodynamic design and feature a special vent hole and nozzle grille for effective airflow. The Buds2 Pro features a three-mic system and has an expanded windshield that’s more than double the size of the Galaxy Buds Pro’s for minimizing distracting noise.

Speaking of, the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro comes with an advanced intelligent Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), advertised to reduce noise by three more decibels than the Galaxy Buds Pro. The TWS also comes with Voice Detect, which adjusts your sound as soon as you start talking on the street with someone so you can hear their response. This feature also changes the Buds2 Pro from ANC Mode to Ambient Mode to help amplify the conversation.

The Galaxy Buds2 Pro pack 10mm drivers in each bud and have 24-bit Hi-Fi sound to provide a steady and high-quality sound during processing for clearer and richer audio. The buds support 360-degree audio to deliver a more immersive and realistic experience and use Dolby Head Tracking technology to mimic a cinematic sound experience.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro can work with your smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, PC, and smart TV. Samsung has also expanded Buds Audio Switch, Easy Pair, and Bluetooth Info Sync to connect the Buds2 Pro to a Samsung TV or Galaxy Book for a seamless transition. The Buds2 Pro also supports SmartThings Find, meaning you will get notified on your Galaxy device when you leave your earphones behind, even when offline.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro has a 61 mAh battery in each bud advertised to offer up to five hours of playback with ANC turned on, and eight hours without it. The charging case draws power through a USB-C port and packs a 515 mAh battery, which can extend the total playback time to 29 hours. You can also juice up the case with a Qi-certified wireless charger.

The rest of the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro’s highlights include Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, AKG tuning, and IPX7 water resistance.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro TWS earphones are priced at €230/$230 and have three color options – Graphite, White, and Bora Purple. Pre-orders are now open, with sales beginning on August 26.

Customers who pre-book the Galaxy Buds2 Pro will get a free wireless charger, up to $75 off with eligible trade in, and $30 Samsung Credit.
