WhatsApp is now launching a new feature, especially for admins. The new feature is still under testing, allowing admins to control who can join the group chat.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature will give admins the power to decide who can join the group chats. Previously, WhatsApp was working on this feature development to decide who is allowed to join a group chat.
Some render leaked on the internet that shows the feature can be operated through the Group settings, and the toggle is titled Approve new participants. UnfortunatelyWhatsApp’s new 2.22.18.9 beta update does not come with this feature. At the same time, the participants will see a list of pending requests to join the group chat beneath the toggle.
When the feature is live, group admins will receive a notification when someone wants to join a group chat. This feature is very nice to give more privilege to the admin because it will help in keeping unwanted people out of a group. Admins can avoid spam and safeguard user privacy. Admin also can cross-check with the group members to verify the authenticity of the chat request.
