Samsung introduced two new gaming monitors: Odyssey G6 and Odyssey G7. These are the world’sworld’s first gaming monitors which are running on Tizen operating system giving you direct access to various audio and video streaming apps and, more importantly cloud gaming services.
The Odyssey G65B is available in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes. The monitor uses a VA panel with QHD resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, a 1000R curvature, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Meanwhile, Odyssey G70B has two size options: 27-inch and 32-inch, but it uses a flat IPS LCD panel with 4K resolution, and a 144Hz refresh rate and Samsung added Nvidia G-Sync technology.
All monitor models have a Samsung Gaming Hub, which supports cloud gaming services, including Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, Microsoft Xbox Cloud, and Nvidia GeForce Now. Users can enjoy the Samsung’s Game Bar to customize game settings and response time and adjust screen ratio.
Users can have some audio and video streaming apps available on Samsung’sSamsung’s smart TVs. These gaming monitors offer some additional features as well, including Wi-Fi 5, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Samsung DeX, Samsung Health, and SmartThings. The monitor has far-field mics for on-demand access to Alexa and Bixby.
Samsung will release these monitor products in Q4 of 2022. The price and specs details will be announced closer to their launch. The Odyssey G6 and the Odyssey G7 are showcased at the Gamescom event in Hall 9 in the Koelnmesse, Cologne.
