Today, some people said that Instagram copies TikTok features. But TikTok is now copying Instagram’s new feature called “Photo Mode.” This feature allows users to share multiple photos in a post and captions of up to 2,200 characters.
The photo posts can include feature music, appearing on the users’ For You page alongside videos. According to the TikTok blog post, the platform offers more character count to make creators express themselves and more deeply connect with others.
According to Mashable statement, the Photo Mode in TikTok is not a clever way for creators’ creativity because they can share recycled text memes and other content that’s often popular on… Instagram.
Meanwhile, Instagram is still struggling with engagement with its TikTok clone, Reels. According to Wall Street Journal, TikTok is still one step ahead of Instagram Reels in daily watch time.
Unfortunately, some social media platforms shamelessly copy each other until they all look kind of the same. Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat will come on French upstart BeReal. Twitter is now developing a TikTok-style feed for full-screen videos, and YouTube Shorts, itself a TikTok clone, added TikTok-style voiceovers.
