TikTok introduced new tools for editing and adjusting videos. Users can now adjust clips, sounds, images, and even text right from TikTok without having to leave the social network to use third-party apps.
The platform already added some basic video editing tools for users, but this update has more features. For example, users can cut, stack, and split videos and sounds. Adding some text to clips will be easier, and there’s an option to make photo and video overlays for picture-in-picture.
Users can adjust video speed, rotate or zoom individual clips, and add sound effects. The company claims these features will empower people to enjoy more creative freedom.
TikTok also offers Photo Mode; this feature allows users to make a new carousel format when they want to share high-quality images on TikTok combined with a soundtrack. TikTok also adds more character limits for post descriptions.
Previously, TikTok launched a “Nearby” feed that promotes local content based on the user’s location. The company launched “TikTok Now” recently; this feature is similar to the popular BeReal app.
