Two weeks ago, Samsung released the latest security update to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. This is the first Galaxy S20 lineup to get the new update. The Galaxy S20 FE (4G Snapdragon) received the same update. This new update comes to the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G for the US market.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G (SM-G781U) has a firmware version G781USQS9FVI5. This update comes to T-Mobile’s network in the US, and we expect other carriers to release the update soon. Samsung claims this update brings October 2022 security patch fixes over four dozen security vulnerabilities.
If you’re a Galaxy S20 FE 5G user in the US with a carrier-locked version, you might receive the update notification or check it manually through Settings ยป Software update and tap Download and install.
The unlocked version of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G has received the update yet, but we expect it to get the new software within a few days.
