Apple introduced the new 10th-generation iPad. This iPad will have a 10.9-inch 2360x1640px IPS LCD with 500 nits. The device is the base model of an iPad, so it won’t use an M1 processor, but it will use an A14 Bionic chip with a 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine.
The new iPad 10th gen will have some color options – Silver, Blue, Pink, and Yellow. The company offers storage sizes from 64GB to 256GB and Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + 5G models. For your information, Apple will use Wi-Fi 6 for this iPad model.
The iPad 10th gen will have a USB-C and support the first-gen Apple Pencil. But, the pencil is still using Lightning. So, you need to use USB-C to Lightning adapter (which comes in the box). The connector in itself will be available for $9.
The iPad 10th gen brings a 12MP f/2.4 122-degree ultrawide front camera. The camera will fit more people in the frame. Also, this camera supports Smart HDR 3, 1080p video up to 60fps, and extended dynamic range up to 30fps. While the rear camera has a 12MP f/1.8 AF primary camera with 4K video.
Apple produced a Magic Keyboard Folio for the new iPad that can be connected through the Smart Connector and attaches magnetically. There’s a kickstand and a trackpad. This keyboard will augment the iPad’s abilities for $249/€299/INR 24,900.
Apple will open the pre-order now and will ship from October 26 – in 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the market.
The new iPad 10th gen costs from $449/€579/INR 44,900 for a 64GB Wi-Fi-only model. That’s a significant price hike from last year’s entry-level model, but luckily, Apple is keeping that one on the shelves as well, priced at $329/€429/INR 33,900.
