YouTube updates the Music with the new design. It has Material You buttons and a redesigned library tab. Today, the update is rolling out to more devices. Unfortunately, this update was released for Android tablets, and now it is rolling out to more devices worldwide.
The latest update brings a new playlist view design; it seems similar to the album view redesign that was introduced back in June, which featured bigger cover art. The current music list design has cover art in the middle, with the uploader details, playlist name, and description down below the cover art.
Users can change the position for the uploader details and playlist name. Previously, all information was crammed beside the cover art, and it looked cluttered. YouTube has changed the playback controls button position and the platform. As you may remember, the previous YouTube Music playlist view had rectangular buttons for Shuffle and Play.
There’s a bold and big circular Play button under the playlist description at the center, whereas other buttons, including Edit, Share, and Download the playlist or album, are on either side of the big Play button. The Shuffle button won’t show immediately in the new arrangement.
You can tap the 3-dot icon beside the Play button for more new menus. YouTube Music design is rolling out for Android devices to more countries. You can check the update by clearing the cache, force-stopping, or restarting the app to see the changes.
