Google Lock Screen Widget is now available on iOS 16. The widgets will show some at-a-glance info and shortcuts for some of the company’s core apps. For example, users can see Gmail message counts, while Maps can either provide a link to favourite places. Widgets for Chrome will show favourite searches, issue voice commands or launch features like Lens translation and Chrome’s Dino game.
Google News widget can show the latest headlines. You also can access suggested and starred cloud files. You can play your favourite playlist on YouTube Music.
YouTube widget offers a quick browse your YouTube video subscriptions or searches for a YouTube Music tune.
The widgets can be customized at the lock screen. They will adapt to the always-on display of the iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max. Of course, many information can be shown on the lock screen. Unlike the Android, the Google widget app on the lock screen only shows a limited amount of info before you unlock the device.
