Vivo is the first company to sell two operating systems in a single phone – OriginOS Ocean in China and Funtouch worldwide. Today, Vivo confirmed the device would get Funtouch OS 13, based on Android 13. The eligibility list includes over 50 devices from the Vivo and iQOO brands.
The most significant improvement is the latest update offers iManager and a new stabilizer ring in the viewfinder while taking photos.
FunTouch offers more ways for users to customize the home screen graphics, including icons matching the background system. Thanks to the Monochrome Icon feature, users can customize the home screen in a single color, which is a delightful update for those who prefer a simplistic appearance.
The new system has security improvements as well. Users can hide certain photos from their devices – it is an option through the three-dot menu in the gallery.
iManager is the single app to give users all phone controls. With Funtouch 13, monitoring app usage time and the user experience is much more streamlined.
The system has the ability to reduce active apps and adjust CPU frequency based on the phone’s cooling capabilities.
There’s a video editing app to mute audio while making any segments, especially in the era of TikTok videos and Reels.
The viewfinder can help users to have a friendly UI to make some enhancements – a simple horizontal swipe selects vibrance, brightness, contrast, and exposure, while vertically, it goes between +100 and -100.
We received a roadmap from Vivo and iQOO. It is about the beta version of Funtouch 13, but the stable version should follow closely. Here’s the full list of devices that are in line to get the Android 13-based user interface
