Google is now developing a new foldable smartphone to compete with other big brands on foldable products. This smartphone has leaked today. It’s going to be called Pixel Fold.
Some rumors said the company would introduce this new device alongside the Pixel Tablet at the I/O conference in May. Google will produce in two colors option, including Chalk (aka white) and Obsidian (aka black).
The 3D renders have been leaked in both colorways, but no specs this time around. The sources reportedly say the Pixel Fold will have the “usual Pixel-Esque performance” and improved camera.
The Pixel Fold will cost around $1,799, a price similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold4, when it launched in the US in August. At the same time, the Galaxy Z Fold4 will have the price decrease after the rumors leaked.
The Pixel Fold’s ‘camera bar’ will be similar to the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, as it doesn’t go all the way to the edges. The two 9.5 MP selfie cameras, one inside the hole punched into the outer screen and the other one placed on the right side of the inner screen.
The Pixel Fold will have a fingerprint reader embedded in the power button. There are two speakers, one on the top and one on the bottom. The Tensor chipset would be powered by this device to give more performance.
