Qualcomm announced the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset earlier today. According to Geekbench, this chipset will come to Galaxy S23 Ultra, and it shows an incredible result. The European Galaxy S23 Ultra will have the codename SM-S918B on its benchmark browser. Unlike the United States variants, the European model will use Qualcomm-made Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 rather than an Exynos chipset.
Geekbench published the European Galaxy S23 Ultra tested today. Other details said this device would have 8GB of RAM and Android 13. The Galaxy S23 Ultra scores 1,504 and 4,580 points in single-core and multi-core tests. Of course, it’s a higher performance result than its Samsung flagship predecessor.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will give more optimized performance to Galaxy S23. The company tries to hit the market next year with its flagship. The Samsung Galaxy S23 may come in early January or the first week of February. Unfortunately, the release date has yet to be announced by Samsung, but the flagship should come to global market relatively soon.
If Qualcomm powers the Galaxy S23 series exclusively, we’ll see the interesting strategy from Exynos. Samsung is expected to develop better Exynos flagship chipset for future devices, or the Exynos will be powered by Samsung’s mid-range device. Time will tell.
