Samsung launched the “Ultimate” NVMe SSD, the 990 Pro, in Europe. The company claims this latest SSD technology will give users the ultimate storage performance of its predecessor, the 980 Pro which will give power with over 50% better energy efficiency, you can purchase the SSD at some Germany at Samsung’s online shop.
The NVMe SSD 990 Pro has two variants, with or without a heatsink; which Germany market received the 990 Pro NVMe M.2 SSD with no heatsink model, with 1TB or 2TB of storage. The 1TB costs €174, while the 2TB costs €324. Users can purchase the 990 Pro 2TB model in 12 monthly instalments of €27.08 each.
The 990 Pro is suitable for gaming purposes, especially for the latest gaming console, PlayStation 5. Choose the heatsink variant if you want to use this storage for your console game.
The 990 Pro has read and write speeds of up to 7,450MB/s and 6,900MB/s, while read/writes speeds reached 1,400K and 1,550K IOPS.
Samsung claims the NVMe SSD 990 Pro uses a “state-of-the-art thermal control algorithm” that will give the SSD heat stability. The company plans to release a 4TB variant in 2023.
