Vivo sub-brand iQOO started teasing the new phone lineup in Malaysia a few times ago. The company will start the debut of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC to power this phone. Today, iQOO will introduce the iQOO 11 5G on December 2 during the Experience Day event.
The event will be held at 6 PM local time, where iQOO will announce the full specs of this flaghship as Malaysia’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 smartphone. This iQOO 11 is one of many phones that will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 since the Vivo X90 Pro+ will launch later in China. However, the iQOO 11 5G would significantly improve as a new brand that will hit the market and compete with other flagships in Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 lineup.
iQOO hasn’t confirmed the specs details yet but touted it as the “king of gaming smartphones”. We are still determining what the advantage of this phone as a gaming smartphone. However, the In-Display Monster Touch previously seen on the iQOO 7 Legend, iQOO 9T, and iQOO 9 will likely be present.
iQOO teased this iQOO 11 5G on social media and claimed this phone has the highest refresh rate and powerful battery life. The smartphone will use a 6.78″ 144Hz 1,440p display and a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W charging. It may use the Vivo V2 chip onboard, which was the chipset used on the Vivo X90 series first.
iQOO collaborated with BMW M Motorsport as its premium partner for this iQOO 11 5G’s design. We expect the iQOO 11 5G will have a white-colored back panel with red, blue, and black-colored accents to represent the BMW Motorsport.
However, there’s no clear information if the iQOO 11 will be the only smartphone that will be announced in Malaysia or if it will be launched alongside the iQOO 11 Pro that will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, 6.78″ E6 AMOLED display, the Vivo V2 chip, and Android 13.
