Not all Samsung Galaxy series receive the Android 13 update as fast as other models. Today, the Galaxy M53 5G benefits from its latest update more quickly than other Samsung flagships. The Android 13 and One UI 5.0 firmware comes to the Galaxy M53 5G (SM-M536B) in Europe with firmware version M536BXXU1BVK4.
This latest update comes with October 2022 security patch, and it should release to more countries soon. Samsung will release this update for some countries at a time, so if you get the update notification already, you may have to wait a while longer.
You can check the update through “Software update” and tapping “Download and install.” Samsung Galaxy A53 5G already got the Android 13 a couple of weeks ago, but it didn’t guarantee that the Galaxy M53 5G will get the same update. The Galaxy A53 5G and M53 5G have some differences; the Galaxy M53 5G uses a MediaTek chipset, while the A53 5G uses an Exynos 1280 SoC; it’s very different performance and a slightly larger AMOLED display.
As you may know, the Galaxy M53 5G comes with Android 12 and One UI 4.1 in the box, so this Android 13 is the first major update for this phone. The device gets more personalization options through an expanded Material You color palette and a reworked lock screen customization menu.
If you want to purchase the Galaxy M53 5G in Europe, you can get a discount around this time of year. Samsung has cut around €30 off the retail price, and as of this writing, the phone costs €439.
