Google pushed the Material You design to give some improvement for some Google apps, including Android Auto, Google Search, and Nearby Share. Today, Google TV mobile app rolls out the Material You redesign for Galaxy devices and other Android smartphones as well.
The new Material You design brings a new bottom bar. The design is taller, with pill-shaped indicators to highlight the tab that you are currently viewing. While the menu bar is completely overhauled, and a search bar will fill the entire width of the mobile app.
Users can see cast and profile buttons in the search field. Previously, we needed to hit the magnifying glass or search icon at the top left. Now, users can tap anywhere on the top to search within the app. There is a rounded rectangle to see more Google TV mobile app menus.
Google has changed the app’s color theme, a lighter gray background as the main color for the app, prominently visible on the bottom bar. Previously, the background had black color, but now there is a shade of grey. The new Material You M3 navigation on the Google TV mobile app brings a more modern look to tablet devices.
Google is still releasing this new design to limited users, but it usually spreads in the following days later. Moreover, it looks to be a server-side update alongside version 4.37.20.
