Samsung launched the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy A53 5G for the global market last week. The update rolls out to US carrier-locked version in the US. Today, the device is getting the latest software update, but you shouldn’t get your hopes high as it doesn’t bring Android 13 to the device.
The latest update comes with firmware A536USQS4AVL1. The Dish networks received this update, and the company promises to expand the update to more carriers. This update brings December 2022 security patch and fixes 100 security vulnerabilities. In addition, this update also improves the device stability and bug fixes.
Suppose you’re a Galaxy A53 5G user and live in the US. You might receive the update notification, or you can check it manually through Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G had launched alongside the Galaxy A33 5G and the Galaxy A73 5G earlier this year with Android 12 onboard. All those devices received up to four major Android OS updates and have already received the Android 13 update in most international markets.
