Finally, Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Core update in some regions. The update is now available in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and Samsung will expand the same update in other countries soon.
The latest Android 13 update comes with firmware version T220ZCU1CVL5. The update brings the November 2022 security patch. If you’re a Galaxy Tab A7 Lite user and live in the countries we’ve mentioned above, you might receive the update notification, or you can check the update manually through Settings ยป Software update and tap on Download and install.
The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite came with Android 11 at first launch and now is the second time for the device has received major Android OS updates, and this Android 13 could be the last update.
The new One UI Core 5.0 comes with new features and improvements, including an expanded Color Palette, Stacked Widgets, easier lock screen customizations, new widgets, larger app icons for notifications, and smoother animations and transitions. The device has some new wallpapers, too. Now, each app will have permission customization before sending any notification.
Samsung improved the Samsung Internet, Camera, Samsung Keyboard, and Samsung Gallery. The Settings app has a new Connected Devices menu, and the Security and Privacy sections with a new UI. The Camera app is enhanced with a watermark feature and easier filter selection. The Gallery app has new album customization and Stories view.
The built-in photo editor brings more features to photo editing, GIFs better, new stickers, draw perfect shapes and keeps Portrait effects even after editing an image. There are some options to enhance the color inversion, color filter, quick setting toggles for high-contrast font, and color adjustment.
The Bixby Routines improved the Modes & Routines, while Bedtime Mode has been renamed to Sleep Mode. You can select some Modes, including present Routines, and check running Routines quickly. Samsung added many conditions and options to Routines. There are some granular controls over notifications, how and when the apps are allowed to send notifications.
Samsung Internet offers the ability to drag and drop bookmarks between folders. Edge Panel can show the app’s name. The Digital Wellbeing app has been redesigned. The Reminders app can offer all the reminders for the current date, and show/hide completed reminders. There’s an improved the My Files design to help users search for something easily.
