Samsung released the December 2022 security patch on many smartphones and tablets this month. Now, the Galaxy Tab Active Pro (SM-T540) receives the same update to get last month’s security patch.
The latest update comes with firmware version T540XXS3CVL2 and November 2022 security patch; Samsung claims this update fixes 46 security vulnerabilities. The latest update comes in Switzerland, but the update will roll out to more countries soon.
If you’re a Galaxy Tab Active Pro user in Switzerland, you might receive the update notification or you can check the update manually through Settings » Software update and click on Download and install.
The Galaxy Tab Active Pro launched four years ago, and it ran Android 9.0 at the first launch. Since the tablet started its debut, the device has received two major versions of the OS; Android 11 was its last major update.
Samsung promises to roll out the next security update schedule; it should get the next security update in Q1 2023.
