Samsung is trying to push the latest security update before the end of the year to more devices in more countries. Today, the Korean firm released the December 2022 security update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
The December 2022 security update comes to the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 with firmware version F721USQU1BVL9 in the US. The update is available on Comcast’s and Xfinity Mobile’s networks.
Samsung claims this update fixes 100 security vulnerabilities and device stability improvements. If you’re a Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 user in the US, you might receive the update notification, or you can check the update manually through Settings » Software update and tap on Download and install.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 launched with Android 12-based One UI 4.1.1 onboard. These devices also received the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update to the two devices a few weeks ago. The devices will get three more Android OS updates in the future.
