The Galaxy A52 5G received the December 2022 security patch last month. However, the update was limited to US carrier-unlocked version. Today, the Korean firm launched the latest security update for the Galaxy A52 5G for the US market (SM-A526U).
The latest update brings firmware version A526USQS7DVL1 and the December 2022 security patch. Samsung claims this update fixes 93 security vulnerabilities, and now the update comes to T-Mobile and MetroPCS. The update will be released to more carriers in a couple of days.
If you’re a Samsung Galaxy A52 5G user with a carrier-unlocked model in the US, you might receive the update notification, or you can check the update manually through Settings ยป Software update and click Download and install.
The Galaxy A52 5G comes with a new Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update as well. As you may know, the smartphone came with Android 11 (One UI 3.1) at launch, and this device will receive three OS upgrades. It means the smartphone can get Android 14 when it arrives later this year.
