The January 2023 security patch has been released to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra this month. These devices received the latest security update from Samsung. However, the latest update was available only to the international variants of the devices. Today, the Korean firm released the same update to the carrier-locked and unlocked variants of the Galaxy S21 in the US.
The latest update has firmware version G99XU1UES5DWA2 for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. While the carrier-locked models of these devices have firmware version G99XUSQS5DWA5. Samsung claims the update fixes over fifty security issues, and the update will be available to more devices soon.

The Galaxy S21 series started its debut on February 1, 2023, with an Android 13-based One UI 5.1 update. Samsung promises to release three years of OS upgrades; they are also eligible to get Android 14 later this year.
