Samsung has its own payment processor—Samsung Pay—and this app has Samsung Pass as a house password management app. Today, the Korean firm announced to merge of these two apps into Samsung Wallet. This app started a few months ago, and now Samsung is rolling out the service in India.
Samsung revealed Samsung Wallet would be launched in India before the end of January 2023. Now, Samsung started the payment processor debut in India on January 30. The company tweeted that just one day is left for its transformation with the hashtag #SamsungPayIsGettingBetter, which confirms the Samsung Wallet launch date for the Indian market.
Users can use Samsung Wallet to store boarding passes, login passwords, cryptocurrency, identification cards, digital keys, debit cards, credit cards, and even loyalty/membership cards. All information will be secured through Samsung Knox, a defense-grade digital security solution.
