Samsung launched a new update for the stock Calendar app. The app offers many features, including shared calendar management, drawing support improvement, and dark/light mode settings for Samsung smartphones and tablets.
The new Samsung Calendar app update was introduced during the Samsung Community forum in South Korea. The main feature of this app is drawing capability; when you draw on the calendar using the S Pen, then you long press it, the shape will be converted into a proper shape. This similar feature also comes in the Samsung Notes app.
The UI gets some improvements as well, including the independent dark/light mode settings. The switcher will be applied automatically depending on the phone’s theme. The profile calendar also joined on a paired Galaxy Watch. However, this Korean firm offers the update for the Wear OS smartwatches or compatible with Tizen watches.
The calendars allow us to share with others and set permission for who can see calendar entries and who can’t. Users can create shared calendars in the Samsung Calendar app through Settings » Calendar Management » ‘+ Create Shared Calendar .’ Users can share it through shared links. Users can edit permissions for existing shared calendars.
The new update comes in South Korea and will spread to more markets soon. So, keep your eye out on the app store to grab the new update.
