Samsung didn’t launch the new Galaxy Buds at this time, alongside the Galaxy S23 launch last week. Samsung is now focusing on improving wireless earbuds’ capability with the new firmware update to the Galaxy Buds 2.
The new firmware version R177XXU0AWA3 comes to Galaxy Buds 2 in South Korea. The changelog shows the latest update has a 3.06MB file size that brings the charging stability improvement of wireless earbuds. Samsung promises to release this same firmware version to more countries.
The latest firmware for the Galaxy Buds 2 will have a hamburger menu. You can check the update manually through Earbud Settings » Earbuds software update » Download » Install.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 was launched two years ago, and this device has no successor yet. The company is expected to launch the Galaxy Buds 3 in the second half of 2023 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
