Samsung released the January 2023 security patch to the Galaxy S10 Lite. Now, it turns to the carrier-unlocked variant of the Galaxy S10 Lite (SM-G770U1) in the US. This device gets the first update after it received the Android 13 OS and One UI 5.0 customization last month.
The latest January 2023 update for this device brings firmware version G770U1UES6HWA1. Samsung claims the latest update fixes more than fifty security issues. This update comes to some carriers, including AT&T, Comcast, Cricket, Xfinity Mobile, Verizon, Tracfone, T-Mobile, and Sprint.
If you’re a carrier-unlocked Galaxy S10 Lite in the US, you’ll be notified of this update, or you can check the update manually through Settings » Software update and tap Download and install.
Samsung has downgraded the security update status quarterly for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+. However, the Galaxy S10 Lite will receive the upcoming updates g monthly security updates, and that’s because this phone is newer. Unfortunately, this device won’t receive the newer versions of Android.
