Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 13 Pro in December for the China market, and the company will launch the device in the global market on February 26. Xiaomi’s Indian branch today introduced the smartphone will launch globally on February 26 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event. The company live-streamed at 9:30PM IST (4 PM UTC) on Xiaomi’s official website and social media accounts.
According to Xiaomi spokesperson Lei Jun, “The Xiaomi 13 Series Launch event is on February 26th!”. The device will be launched alongside the base model of this phone on February 26 too.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, 12GB RAM, and 512GB of storage onboard. The smartphone will come with Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box, and this phone will use a 6.73″ QHD+ 120Hz LTPO OLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.
HDR10+ and Dolby Vision will be added to this phone to support audio and visual enhancement. While a fingerprint reader is underneath for biometric authentication. At the front, this phone uses a 32MP selfie camera.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro uses a 50.3MP main camera sensor with OIS, 50MP telephoto, and 50MP ultrawide units. The smartphone will use a Leica-branded lens.
The device uses a 4,820 mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support. The smartphone supports 10W reverse wireless charging.
The Xiaomi 13 also has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, at a different model, but with a smaller screen of lower resolution, a smaller battery with slower wired charging, and a different camera setup.
