Realme unveil a new smartphone in China which supports up to 240W charging speed; it’s the GT Neo 5 duo. The company promises to release the global model as soon as this month.
However, Realme plans to bring new technology to the Realme GT3 instead of the Neo 5. The company uses a custom 12A charging cable and a 240W dual GaN mini charger for this 240W charging technology. The GaN part is the most important part because a standard 240W charger would be absurdly big.
The GT Neo 5 has a 4,600mAh battery, which is not much different from the Realme GT3. Realme claims to implement more than 60 layers of protection to support more than 200W charging certified by TUV Rheinland for longevity. In theory, the battery capacity will drain to 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charging cycles, which is pretty amazing.
