Microsoft Uses AI-powered Bing for Some Apps

Posted on February 22, 2023

Microsoft launched an AI-based Bing chatbot two weeks ago, and now the company is bringing the technology to mobile and Skype.

The feature comes to Bing iOS and Android apps. Users can now open the Bing button in the app to start a conversation with the chatbot. Users can type a query, or they can tap the microphone button to speak it out loud.

All functionality can be accessed through the Microsoft Edge app homepage, also available on iOS and Android. The AI-powered Bing comes to Skype as well; this technology allows users to create a conversation with Bing one-on-one or add it to their group chats so anyone can tag it and fire off a query. Users can choose some responses, including bullet points, text, or a simplified reaction in over 100 languages.

AI-powered Bing can answer through AI chatbots, like the popular ChatGPT. The intelligent bot can answer some difficult questions or queries. The AI-powered Bing is accessible through the Microsoft Edge desktop browser, but now it comes to more devices and operating systems.
