Google launched an AI-powered Magic Eraser feature to remove unwanted objects while users capture an image from their smartphone. Previously, the feature was only available for the Google Pixel smartphone. But now, the company offers this feature to all Android phones subscribed to Google One.
Google announced the Magic Eraser feature on Thursday to users who subscribed to Google One and used the Google Photos app on their Android devices. The feature comes for iOS users, along with all Pixel users. Users can launch this app through the Tools tab, and select Magic Eraser to launch it. They can access this feature from a Magic Eraser shortcut when they view the image in the photo album.
By using the Magic Eraser feature, Google will detect distractions in your images, then users can select the objects that they wish to remove. There’s a Camouflage Mode, too, this feature will help change the color of the removed objects then the object can blend in with the rest of the photo. Of course, if you don’t like the result, then there is always a choice to undo the changes.
Google brings HDR video effects to enhance the brightness and contrast of videos. Google will balance videos that are ready to share. They will also get a ‘range of new Styles’ when making collages.
Google offers the feature for Google One subscribers residing in the United States, the European Union, Canada, and the United Kingdom free shipping on Print Store orders. The feature comes in Google Photos for Google One members on all plans.
