Samsung launched the One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy S21 FE in some Asian countries. Today, the update comes to the Exynos version of the Galaxy S21 FE (SM-G990E) in India, Turkey, and Thailand. Samsung claims the latest update fixes over four dozen security vulnerabilities.
The One UI 5.1 update comes with firmware version G990EXXU4EWBE in India, while in Thailand and Turkey, the update has a firmware version G990EXXU4EWBD. The One UI 5.1 update brings improvements to Camera app; then users can choose selfie color tones easily. Users can choose the Expert RAW app from the stock camera app. There’s an improved search feature that allows you to find people by just clicking on their faces. Samsung also offers Shared Family Album to share images and videos with family members. You can swipe up the image or video in the Gallery app to view its EXIF information, and you can even edit it.
The new update allows you to minimize or maximize an app by dragging its corners. The split-screen view can show the most frequently used apps. Samsung DeX offers a window size adjustment while you use the split-screen mode via its window divider. The Modes And Routines app have many options right now, including changing the home screen wallpaper, ringtone, touch sensitivity, and font style.
The Weather app displays the important information in the first view; there’s a new dynamic widget that displays hourly precipitation information. You can allow viewing recently browsed webpages using the Samsung Internet app on a paired Windows PC using the Windows Phone Link app. There’s a new search feature to find history and bookmarks easily.
The latest One UI 5.1 update offers two new battery widgets to show the battery information and its connected accessories. If you need more interactive emojis, there’s an AR Emoji Camera that allows you to use up to three emojis on three faces at the same time. The Suggestions widget can display favorite playlists and music suggestions from Spotify. The update also allows you to choose the folder when you want to save screenshots through your phone.
