The Galaxy M13 5G is now getting the One UI 5.1 update. The update comes in India, and other countries will be getting the same update in a couple of weeks. The latest update brings the February 2023 security patch to the device.
The One UI 5.1 update comes with firmware version M136BXXU2CWB3. Samsung claims the February 2023 security patch fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities. You can check the update through Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
The update enhances some stock apps on the Galaxy M13 5G and brings new features. For example, the Gallery app gets an easy way to edit EXIF information of images and videos just by swiping them up. The Gallery app offers a Search box to give more functionality to users. You can search for people or subjects simultaneously.
The update offers a new battery widget to display the battery charge level when it’s connected to wireless accessories. The Weather app is also placed in the first fold, and a new Dynamic Weather widget is for the home screen. The Modes & Routines offer more options, including font style, Quick Share, ringtone, wallpaper, and touch sensitivity.
Users can allow selecting the custom folder while they take a screenshot as a save folder. You can have a Smart Suggestions widget that will display recommended music and playlists from Spotify.
The latest update allows users to start the split-screen multitasking with a two-finger swipe-up gesture. You can drag the corners of an app’s window to minimize it or make it full-screen.
