Samsung unveiled the “monster” portable SSD last year, the T7 Shield. The company also released this product in India a few months ago. However, the SSD is only available in 1TB and 2TB storage versions. Now this South Korean firm has launched the 4TB version of the T7 Shield SSD in India.
The 4TB version of the T7 Shield costs around INR 30,000 (around $365) and INR 35,000 (around $425) in India. The company is expected to sell this SSD via the official website, Samsung Shop app, and all authorized resellers. This new SSD will have a three-year warranty.
The T7 Shield will have an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. The storage also has a shock-resistant, too. The read and write speeds are fantastic, with 1,050Mbps and 1,000Mbps, respectively. The SSD has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port for its connectivity and weighs just 98g. Samsung claims this new SSD can transfer 12K resolution video of 1TB file size would take around 22 minutes. The device has protected with AES 256-bit hardware encryption.
According to VP of Consumer Electronics Enterprise Business at Samsung India, Puneet Sethi said, this premium SSD offers a premium experience and convenience with 4 terabytes of storage capacity. The storage represents various metrics and performance enhancement to give low latency during data transfer.
