The upcoming Google Pixel series – the Pixel 8, will have a new Qi wireless charging with its Wireless Power Consortium certification process. Unfortunately, the listing contains of Google Pixel 6 image, so it doesn’t reveal the upcoming Pixel 8 design.
As you may know, the Pixel 7 family appeared on WPC’s website a week after release, so we hope the Pixel 8 popping up this early could signal an earlier release.
Either way, the upcoming Pixel 8 will have a 12W, shutting down rumors and speculations about support for the newer Qi2 standard, announced in January this year.
