Instagram launched Threads with a bang; it breaks amount of users compared to X (formerly Twitter). Today, this platform will be available on web version this week.
According to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg (via The Wall Street Journal), this platform will offer better search functionality. Users can search usernames which is the only search-related action you can take on the platform. However, this is not the final version; it could get delayed.
According to Instagram head, Adam Mosseri posted on Threads; the testing will need a week or two. To gain platform users, the company added some repost-related features that allow users to search for reposted content easily.
There are 100 million registered users less than a week after its launch, which fell drastically. The platform has a dip in daily active users of 70% two weeks later and 80% by mid-August. The limited features of Threads were blamed for this.
